Floor C (lower floor)
The exhibition features a unique collection of mountain models and especially of geologically painted relief maps. Among them are the model of the Säntis massif by Carl Meili (1871 to 1919) and Albert Heim (1849 to 1937 as well as the great relief map of Switzerland (1:100,000) by the Genevan Charles-Eugène Perron (1837 to 1909), which was geologically painted in the 1930s under the direction of Rudolf Staub (1890 to 1961) for the 1939 national exhibition in Zurich.
